Duties Description Job Description:The SUNY Office of University-Wide Human Resources seeks two Classification Project Analysts. Working in tandem and as part of a team, the incumbents shall be responsible for acting as the Project Analysts for reviewing professional titles established for UUP bargaining unit employees throughout SUNY 's 28 Campuses and Medical Centers. The Project Analysts will be expected to analyze, identify, and recommend modifications to existing professional titles, title series, and their appropriate allocation to salary levels. Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct a University-Wide review of existing professional titles and title series by analyzing HR data, job descriptions and performing desk audits in collaboration with SUNY Campuses.Work directly with campus HR teams and subject matter experts to determine if current titles, title series, and title families accurately reflect the duties, skills, responsibilities, and functions which have developed since the existing title structure was established.Recommend new titles where appropriate along with updates to titles, title series, and title families based on the evaluation of the duties, responsibilities, scope and complexity of position descriptions.Propose modifications to specifications and standards that dictate how a position is classified.Identify position categories where an established line of promotion or career path based on increasing levels of supervisory responsibility or expertise within a title series or title family may be warranted.Develop or revise position descriptions for different levels within a title series or title family as appropriate.Ensure titles and title series are appropriately allocated to the established salary levels. Identify any recruitment and retention issues and fluctuations in salary relationships among relevant occupational categories.Present recommendations and proposals to campuses constituents, senior management and/or union leadership.

Additional Comments Additional Information:Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications.
