Description:

The Project Specialist will demonstrate comprehensive leadership skills to support achievement of the SPHP and THNY goals by proactively providing administrative and organizational support to the SVP Hospital Operations and subordinates. The Project Specialist seamlessly collects monitors,

analyzes and disseminates information to the team(s), leads departmental initiatives and works collaboratively by supporting various projects and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain an accurate and detailed calendar, manage and log incoming scheduling request, re-schedule meetings upon request, proactively communicate changes and anticipate and respond to scheduling conflicts.

  • Track tasks and projects to ensure appropriate prioritization of projects with respect to deadlines and organizational developments.

  • Provide special project leadership and support as needed.

  • Conduct preliminary research on a variety of topics; draft materials as needed.

  • Responsible for accurately recording and transcribing meeting minutes. Prepares minutes in the format used by SPHP or Trinity Health. Timely distribution of the minutes to the appropriate individuals.

  • Prioritizes workload and performs tasks quickly and accurately

  • Works independently and assures deadlines are met.

  • Works in a collaborative manner with co-workers within the department as well as other across the hospital.

  • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures related to Mandatory Education and Annual Health Assessment

  • Adhere to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant area of study/experience that prepares one for managing the successful completion of complex and multiple project plans is essential.

  • Project Management Professional Certification Required

  • Five to seven years of experience in health-related field is highly desired.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to implement innovation and advanced models/best practices required.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of complex organizations (health care system preferred), administration, policies and procedures.

  • Must be comfortable working with all levels of the organization including executive leadership, physicians and other clinical leaders.

  • Requires effective use of problem solving, negotiating, conflict management, team leading and team building skills.

  • Must possess ability to communicate well in written and verbal forms with others, both internally and externally.

  • Candidate must have strong time management and organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure successful completion of project objectives in a timely manner.

Pay Range: $26.75 - $42.79

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
