The School of Nursing is seeking a Fulltime Faculty/Course Chair for Psych

The full time faculty member demonstrates nursing leadership through coordinating, and facilitating the theoretical and clinical education of pre-licensure nursing students. The role of the Nurse Educator is a specialized practice in which the faculty member exercises discretion and judgment in assessing learner needs, in developing and implementing effective teaching strategies, in assessing learning outcomes through the development of valid and reliable examinations, and in evaluating student clinical practice. The faculty member facilitates learner professional development and socialization. The full time faculty member maintains current knowledge of best practices in nursing education and in nursing practice in order to contribute to overall curriculum development, evaluation and revision. The full time faculty member is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a given course and ensuring that all teaching team members see that students meet the learning outcomes according to established standards. The full time faculty member engages in the scholarship of teaching and learning, participates in various non-curricular campus life activities, and may provide nursing expertise to the larger organization.

Education Requirements :

Master’s Degree in Nursing and current New York State licensure as a registered professional nurse is required

Experience Requirements :

Minimum of five years of current clinical experience as an RN. Previous teaching experience preferred.

Pay range: ​31.50hr -41.40hr

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
