Summary
The Tools Administrator will work within the Division of Data Services & Analytics (DDSA) Division Data Architecture Unit. The position is multi-role in nature and will perform duties in the areas of toolset configuration, low-code development, project management and business analysis. The individual will be responsible for configuration and general business-side administration of both vendor provided and internally developed utility applications and services. The ideal candidate will be able to utilize their experience and skills to respond to requests concerning the administration and use of various applications as a service supporting the efforts of DDSA staff. They should possess a basic understanding of ITIL and service management, configuration of third-party tools and have the ability to build solutions using Python or low-code platforms such as PowerApps. They should have the ability to pull/manipulate data using SQL and have an appreciation for the collection of metadata to support data service functions in the management and quality of data in the NYS Department of Health’s Medicaid program.
Comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support will be provided. The candidate should be able to take on new tasks and subject areas, willing to work in a team environment, and able to adjust to multiple priorities successfully.
Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Curation / Stewardship of toolsets and environments supporting healthcare data analysis
Administration / Management of toolsets used to curate institutional knowledge about data sets
Research and response to both structural and contextual aspects of data services
Providing guidance to teams on sound use of specified utilities
Building consensus and common understanding of usage for supporting frameworks for data between technical and business program stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience with administering third-party tools and enterprise utilities required; experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or other programming and visualization languages preferred
Familiarity with ITIL and Service Management principles preferred
Understanding of user administration principles and basic identity management preferred
Database architecture and data management experience preferred
Project Management certification or relevant experience a plus
Artificial intelligence and/or machine learning experience a plus
Ability to translate technical specifications and communicate in clear manner to broad audience
Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to move projects forward
Exceptional verbal, written, and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with PowerApps, SharePoint, PowerAutomate, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred
Desired Qualifications

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
