WorkSource Oregon Marketing Communications Specialist in ALBANY, Oregon

POSITION PURPOSE We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Credit Union. This role is pivotal in creating, distributing, and managing internal communications as well as developing engaging marketing content aimed at solving financial challenges for both individual and business members. The successful candidate will develop a wide variety of marketing content to include (but not limited to) eBooks, white papers, webinars, live events, and other thought leadership content. This position requires a blend of strong communication skills, financial industry knowledge, expertise in change management, and marketing prowess to differentiate our brand in the marketplace, capture new prospective members and ensure effective internal information flow. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Internal Communications Management, in partnership with HR: Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that internally promotes the CWCU brand, organizational goals, values, and culture. The overall strategy is to ensure that all employees are informed and engaged. Develop an ongoing strategy to understand team member voice. This includes synthesizing feedback from engagement surveys and creating additional opportunities to solicit and assess team member sentiment. Lead the effort to ensure that our brand characteristics & values are consistently embedded into our internal communications across the organization. Craft clear, engaging, and informative communications for all employees, including digital video, newsletters, emails, internal announcements. Ensure effective channels of communication within the organization to foster a sense of community and transparency. Incorporate change management principles into internal communications strategies to support organizational transitions effectively. Content Development and Management: Lead the creation of high-quality content (eBooks, white papers, webinars, live events) that addresses the financial challenges and needs of our audience. Collaborate with subject matter experts to produce thought leadership materials that position the credit union as a leader in financial solutions and an employer of choice. Manage content production calendar, ensuring timely development and distribution of materials. Works with Digital Marketing Specialists to coordinate member-facing promotion and external promotion of marketing content. Oversee the performance and effectiveness of content, utilizing analytics to inform future strategies. In conjunction with senior leadership, develops, manages, and provides both proactive and responsive public relations communications as needed. Includes developing and executing a season calendar of events that require PR effort as a part of the promotion and awareness to media and other external organizations. Event and Webinar Management: Plan, execute, and host live events and webinars that engage our community and promote financial literacy and solutions. Coordinate with external partners and speakers to provide valuable and relevant content for our audience.
