POSITION OVERVIEW
In support of the Department Air Force (DAF) Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) Field Support Unit (FSU), this position will provide professional facilities and logistics services. DAF RCO-FSU offers unique capabilities and resources to support the U.S. Government and DoD Agencies in exploring technology concepts and to help resolve other technology challenges.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide administrative support for coordination between DAF RCO-FSU and the Kirtland AFB Civil Engineering Office maintenance services for facilities and equipment.
Initiate and coordinate efforts within DAF RCO-FSU and the Civil Engineering Office to assist in improving and correcting facility deficiencies.
Support in-house CE self-help activities.
Prepare and track Kirtland Air Force Base Civil Engineering work orders for DAF RCO-FSU.
Support Military Construction (MILCON) briefings and justifications for DAF RCO-FSU.
Assist in coordination and tracking DAF RCO-FSU schedules, work orders, and projects with Kirtland AFB Civil Engineering, their contract representations, or their offices.
Maintain and comply with Director-approved Policies and Procedures, review, coordinate, and maintain documentation for proposed yearly facility budget.
Coordinate and maintain DAF RCO-FSU procedures outlined in the FSU Emergency Action Plan and Continuity of Operations Plan.
Comply with safety and fire procedures and regulations.
Comply with the Civil Engineering Guide for Facility Managers for Kirtland AFB, and Air Force and base fire prevention and safety requirements.
Assist in the maintenance of inventory and track project-specific hardware and software.
Purchase of software and equipment.
Maintain databases of real and physical property as well as software licenses.
Identify issues within buildings and accountable equipment and report such discrepancies to appropriate Government personnel.
Assist as needed with picking up, sorting, and delivering incoming mail from the Official Mail Center (OMC).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of directly related experience.
Bachelor's degree or an additional four years of related experience.
Experience with facilities planning, Military Construction (MILCON), and/or AF or DoD civil Engineering.
Experience identifying issues with buildings and equipment and reporting discrepancies to appropriate government personnel.
Excellent organizational skills.
Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
