Job Description:

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking a Mechanic - Auto / Diesel / Small Engine to support ongoing activities on our Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Auto / Diesel / Small Engine Mechanic performs general inspection, diagnosis, repair, and general maintenance of heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and grounds maintenance shop equipment to include tractors, mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently diagnose and repair all systems and components of vehicles and equipment used in the performance of the KEOS contract.

  • Plan, schedule, and perform required maintenance on Grounds shop vehicles and equipment IAW manufacture recommendations and/or operational needs.

  • Properly and accurately uses tools, testing equipment, troubleshooting guides, and manufacture's repair manuals to accomplish maintenance and repair tasks.

  • Ensures that all machinery and equipment are safe to operate and functioning per OEM standards upon completion of repair and maintenance activities.

  • Completes necessary documentation in accordance with the company’s processes and the customer service requirements.

  • Communicates with supervisor daily on current vehicle status to include any outstanding issues or additional service needs to include any required purchases.

  • Coordinate shop workload with and assist other technicians as needed.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area(s).

  • Comply with all health and safety regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum education level of high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a mechanic with background or concentration in small engine repair, operation, and maintenance.

  • Possess a high level of technical skill, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.

  • Efficient and accurate equipment diagnosis and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to collect, analyze and summarize data and prepare daily reports.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Possess competent and effective computer skills to include using Microsoft Office 365 applications.

  • Ability to coordinate workload and perform work cooperatively with others.

  • Must have proficient English oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and customers.

  • Be able to read and interpret diagrams and technical manuals.

  • Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.

  • Be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.

  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level two (2) diesel mechanic certification.
