ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Community Planner in Albuquerque, New Mexico

ASRC Federal Netcentric Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior Community Planner to support the Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico. KEOS is a base maintenance/operations support-type contract, also known as BMC or BOS.

Job Summary:

  • The Senior Community Planner will support and assist in planning land use and development on Kirtland AFB to help ensure the mission success of the base.

  • Responsible for all military construction planning requirements for the installation in accordance with Federal and Air Force guidelines with consideration for life cycle, mission change, catastrophic failures, activity management plan, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with base management and advisory groups to plan long-range development and forecast requirements.

  • Prepares and updates base development plan.

  • Prepares studies that help analyze population growth and base needs.

  • Coordinates on-site evaluations and create project proposals to assess and present information about development needs and land usage.

  • Performs technical planning functions including research, review, analysis, presentation, and coordination of siting requests and track siting approvals.

  • Develops and updates planning trackers, reports, and briefings.

  • Prepares, participates in, and/or conducts briefings, meetings, conferences, design charrettes, etc. involving planning issues.

  • Performs additional planning requirements as needed.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in applied science (Architectural, Engineering, Planning, etc), with a strong preference for a Community Planning degree from a Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) accredited program.

  • Required experience: Three years community planning experience at a military installation or like campus-type environment –OR– Five years in community planning not specific to location.

  • Skill in communicating orally and in writing with clarity, conciseness, and persuasiveness.

  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 software suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro; additionally, strong preference for a candidate with proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS software.

  • Be able to prepare and conduct briefings to customers including senior leadership.

  • Possess and employ excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Be able to take initiative and work independently without direct supervision.

  • Be willing and able to work with customers and coworkers in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.

  • Must be a US citizen and currently possess or be able to obtain/maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
