Job Description
A Leading emergency vehicle up fitter in the Western United States, is seeking a skilled Technician 1 to join our team. Specializing in the custom outfitting of patrol, undercover, battalion command, fire, utility, and construction vehicles, we pride ourselves on quality, reliability, and consistency. As a Technician 1, your role will involve complete unassisted build of Patrol and K-9 units. You will also assist the Team Lead in directing the team, ensuring all specifications and deadlines are met with a high standard of quality. In addition, you will have the capability to step into the Lead Tech role when necessary.
Hard Skills
Superior knowledge of emergency vehicle outfitting
Ability to perform installation of all equipment including harness wiring, trunk tray, console, partition
Ability to perform a complete advanced vehicle build without assistance
Proficiency in repairing emergency equipment
Proper and safe soldering and heat shrinking
Proper and safe looming and wiring
Proper and safe advanced car wiring
Proper and safe use of advanced hand, power, and air tools
Proper and safe use of a vehicle hoist
Proper and safe use of 12 volt relay and testing equipment
Proper and safe operation of a hand torch
Soft Skills
Mechanically inclined
Ability to read work instructions
Mechanical assembly skills

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Work Environment
Join our small, tight-knit team of 12 in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled large shop. The work schedule is day shift, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of starting as early as 6:00 AM or 6:30 AM during overtime. Be prepared to work overtime, especially during our busy season, which is currently underway.
