Paramedic – Emergency Department

Fast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled Paramedic. Is that you?

Work location : Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, Allen, TX 75013

Work hours:

  • Full Time, 36 hours/week – Evening shift

  • Three 12-hour evening shifts per week, 11:00 am - 11:00 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Here’s What You Need:

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required

  • 1 Year paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred

  • EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required upon hire or

  • LP - Licensed Paramedic Upon Hire required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire date.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within 90 days of hire date and

  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required within 90 Days of hire date.

  • Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast-paced environment, positive interpersonal skills, good verbal, and written communication skills, able to perform basic computer skills.

What You Will Do

Texas Health Presbyterian Allen Paramedics are responsible for providing an excellent patient healthcare experience at each Texas Health site.

Essential Functions

  • Performs technical skills that are adapted to reflect the population-specific, developmental and diversity needs of the patient.

  • Provides safe patient care under the delegation of appropriate Physician and competency sign-off.

  • Other duties as appropriately delegated by RN.
