Electrical CAD Designer - Role and Responsibilities:

This is an entry level or early career Electrical Designer position. All work will be performed at our Global Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, PA reporting to our Manager of Electrical Engineering.

The Electrical CAD Designer will be working under the direction of our senior designers and engineers.

Excellent time management skills are required as you will frequently be required to work on multiple project tasks at the same time.

Scope of responsibilities include:

The duties of the position will require:

Generating electrical design deliverables such as:

Single line diagrams

Electrical plans including:

Substation layouts

Equipment arrangements

Cable Tray/Trench/Ductbank

Power

Lighting

Grounding

Hazardous Area classification

Heat Tracing

Network, IT, and Telephone

Control Schematics

Interconnection diagrams

Cable schedules

Electrical Panel Fabrication Drawings

As Built Drawings

Flexibility and availability to travel up to 15% in in North America

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:

Must have a solid working knowledge and experience with CAD Software

Bentley Systems, Inc MicroStation is preferred

Applicants with primarily AutoCAD experience will be considered

Microsoft Office Tools

Education and Licensing Requirements:

A minimum of a high school diploma with career technical training in computer aided design (CAD).

Associates degree in Drafting and Design or another similar program is preferred.
