Community Services For Children General Services Manager in ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania
Community Services for Children has a new opportunity for a General Service Manager! Under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Administrative Support Services, the General Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our CSC Downtown Campus. This includes tasks such as scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance, supporting agency receiving needs, and ensuring that all safety regulations are met. The General Service Manager will work closely with the Maintenance Specialists to complete light maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all safety regulations are met
- Meet all Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards required for safety of classrooms and playground
- Point of contact for any issues that arise onsite
- Liaison between Community Services for Children and our Landlord
- Schedule and coordinate repairs and maintenance of building, equipment, and ground
- Ensure that all safety regulations are met
- Maintain detailed records of parking and building security ID badges
- Respond to and resolve facility-related issues and complaints
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Facilities Safety Training during New Employee Orientation
- Receiving: Accounts for all deliveries made to the agency; accurately track receipts and bills of lading (BOLs) for processing against purchase orders; make deliveries to all agency owned and leased locations; contact vendors for information pertaining to deliveries; keep accurate records in Receiving
- Support event set-up/clean-up and office/equipment moves
- Complete light maintenance tasks including, but not limited to:
- Removing trash and debris
- Cleaning/mopping floors
- Complete and fill out work orders related to maintenance tasks
- Assist with parking and parent drop-off and parent pick-up
- Provide support to front desk operations
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Training
- 5 years of experience in the maintenance trades
- High School diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to read and understand basic drawings and blueprints
- Basic knowledge and understanding of trades (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry)
- Obey all safety requirements and procedures at all times
- Basic proficiency with applicable technology including Microsoft Office, internet, email applications, etc.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Able to communicate effectively with a diverse community and all levels of agency constituents
- Effective time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Able to complete work within time and scheduling constraints
- Able to establish work priorities
Self-motivated and personally accountable
Physical Requirements
Able to walk or stand for long periods of time
- Able to climb ladders and scaffolding to perform work
- Able to reach, bend, push and/or hold objects on a regular basis
- Able to lift 50 pounds and carry it 75 feet
