Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity in ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania, for a Purchasing Agent. This role is in the telecom industry and will be based in a workplace that thrives on teamwork and technological innovation. The Purchasing Agent will be instrumental in handling purchase orders, accounts payable invoice reconciliation, and generating standard weekly reports.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in SAP purchase order processing

• Conduct SAP Accounts Payable Invoice Reconciliation and Remediation

• Generate standard weekly reports in a timely manner

• Create and implement processes to organize and monitor project actual versus budget incurred costs

• Enter purchase details accurately into the system

• Manage accounts payable effectively ensuring all invoices are paid on time

• Maintain accurate records of all purchases and account payable activities

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar position

• Proficient in Enter Purchase software or related systems

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships

• Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices

• Working understanding of budgeting and financial analysis

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or relevant field preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and ability to make decisions in a timely manner

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
