Job Title: Millwright | Alliance | Must be open to shifts | $28-$32/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Union Millwright to join our team in Alliance, OH. This position offers competitive hourly wages between $27-$29.98 and requires working either the afternoon or night shift, with overtime required. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in mechanical maintenance, welding, and machinery repair.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, welding, and repair of machinery.

  • Work on mechanical systems including automated weld mills, cut-off systems, conveyors, overhead cranes, and hydraulic components.

  • Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment in a steel mill environment.

  • Dismantle equipment for repair or transportation and reassemble it.

  • Replace defective parts of machinery or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.

  • Test equipment to ensure safe operation.

  • Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.

  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.

  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Experience in plumbing, gears, bearings, and furnace operations

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Willingness to offer minimal training to individuals working towards their Journeyman's card

Work Environment

This is a union environment within a heavy industrial setting, often dirty and hot around the furnaces, but with fair temperatures throughout the rest of the plant. It is loud around the tube drop-off areas and generally laid back and not very physical. The position requires working 50-60 hours per week across various shifts, with shift differentials for second and third shifts. The employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. The noise level is usually loud. Physical demands include standing, walking, talking, hearing, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

The pay range for this position is $49628.80 - $56908.80
