Insight Global Area Project Manager in Alpharetta, Georgia
Job Description
Day-to-Day
Responsible for planning and management of all value engineering of product through component manufacturing partners
Ensures adherence to construction practices following the manufacturing approved plan catalogs
Drives coordination between Division Procurement and Area Architecture so that Divisions capture efficiencies of the VE product
Provides coordination of the Structural Engineering review between client and Area Architecture
Ensures adherence for new product to the review process prior to Area Architecture plan set completion and release to Divisions
Coordinates design changes with Area Architecture and CAD resources
Ensures compliance of company-wide product standards and Construction Standards for manufacturing product
Responsible for coordinating with Divisions within the Area to conduct VE site visits and ongoing evaluation of product for future savings opportunities

Skills and Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION (degree, licenses, certifications, etc.)
Minimum bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction, or equivalent related experience
Extensive knowledge and work experience in residential construction may reduce or replace this requirement
Valid Driver's License because driving is an essential function of this position.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.):
Related Functional Experience: Minimum 7 or more years Architectural or Construction experience
CD development, construction, and value engineering expertise
Project management expertise
Building Systems Analysis and Building Science training
Personnel and Outsource management
Understanding of Federal & State codes related to residential product
Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction techniques, construction documents, building codes as well as technical and procedural knowledge of activities related to home building construction, including understanding plans & specs.
Knowledge of structural elements and product installation means and methods
Knowledge of lean, value engineering and costing principles and practices a plus
Effective communication and organization skills null
