Microsoft Corporation Change Manager Lead in Alpharetta, Georgia

The Consumption and Support Office (CSO) has an exciting opportunity for you to play a leadership role as a Change Manager Lead for the Customer Success team within the Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization! The CSO organization has the mission to streamline operational functions into a centralized team focused on: consumption and support execution excellence at scale, regional business leadership, tooling, program governance, and change management .

This key role requires a collaborative business leader with strong change management experience and the ability to influence successfully in a highly matrixed environment.

You will drive complex behavioral change by leading the planning and execution of change management strategies for assigned programs and projects and facilitate interaction of several landing plans to drive adoption of key processes and tools within the broader organization.

Responsibilities

As a successful Change Manager Lead, your performance objectives include:

  • Develop, at a program or initiative level, a Change Management plan leveraging standard PROSCI process and templates

  • Customizing Change Management strategies based on the change impact and audience

  • Ensure complete PROSCI assessment to understand role/field impact and sizing change management efforts

  • Manage the daily landing activities including maintaining and documenting change management procedures, stakeholder management, technical and business impact assessment in conjunction with the Landing Directly Responsible Individual (DRI)

  • Work closely with the PMO Lead (if applicable) to maintain and manage the overall landing plans and adoption metrics at POD level

  • Work with the CE&S Change team to establish and evolve solid frameworks and standards for change management that increase change adoption through simplification for impacted resources

  • Identify business readiness through collaboration with stakeholders and landing DRIs, while maintaining a realistic landing plan and adoption metrics

  • Alert Leadership of potential high risk/impact

  • Ensure appropriate Landing DRI resources are allocated by the program teams to drive landing activities of approved changes align with our organizational priorities

  • Monitor and report status of landing efforts and adoption metrics

  • Foster and drive a clear understanding of the various stakeholders for the changes to be deployed to ensure the roles impacted adopt the changes through clear communications, engagement, and appropriate governance throughout the end to end change management process (ADKAR)

  • Operate as voice of the field advocating on behalf of our time zones and customers to drive the right solutions while aligning with our business priorities.

  • Interact and collaborate with different levels of leadership in our organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Communications, or other related disciplines

  • 5+ years of program/project management/change management experience in IT, operations or business

  • Proven change management skills, with Prosci® or other Change Management qualification or demonstrated experience

  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of the Microsoft Customer Experience & Success organization and operations at all levels

  • Demonstrate structured thinking, planning, execute by working with others, influencing without authority, and the ability to deal with ambiguity

  • Hands-on experience in driving change in complex matrix environments

  • Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders, senior managers, and senior leadership

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence change

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment

  • Anticipate changes that could affect key programs or projects and effectively adjust landing plans, goals, actions or priorities to respond to our agile changing environment

  • Demonstrated experience and success at delivering cross functional programs and validated ability to influence without direct authority, taking ownership and driving results

  • High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
