ABM Industries HVAC Apprentice Install Technician in Alpharetta, Georgia

Overview

General Description

Performs a variety of service work HVAC, including but not limited to:

-Filter changing

-Oiling and greasing

-Belt adjusting or replacement

-Cleaning of cooling towers, coils, evaporator, and condenser tubes

-General housekeeping

-Truck driving including pick up, lay out, and delivering required materials or equipment for installation, service and repair work

-Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) work

-Clean and organize warehouse(s), assist with annual inventory

-Operate a variety of tools and machines required to perform HVAC service work

-Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

-Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards

-Maintain a neat professional appearance

-Complete all paperwork associated with operations and shift responsibilities

-Expect 100% local travel to customer sites

Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

-High School Diploma or equivalent

-Familiarity with HVAC equipment or a strong mechanical aptitude

-EPA Refrigeration certification a plus

-Self-starter with ability to work independently

-A natural ability to deliver excellent customer service

-May be required to perform the following physical activities with or without accommodation: climb ladders, lift boxes and equipment, lift and handle HVAC tools and equipment, and walk over large campuses

-Good general maintenance skills

-Good verbal and written communication skills

-Computer knowledge

-Good customer service skills, working professionally with management, tenants and coworkers

-Valid driver's license (without restrictions), clean driving record

-Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including nights, weekends, or holidays

-Possess a sincere and strong desire to learn with a willingness to follow directions

-Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required

-Interest in joining the HVAC Apprenticeship Training Program for local union.
