Position Summary
Join a team of enterprise architects that drive innovation, collaboration and alignment for the CVS Health platform that enables CVS’s vision
of helping people on their path to better health. Enable and execute on the enterprise architecture blueprint strategy through engagements,
collaboration, and partnership across IT.
*This position is open to multiple CVS locations to include remote.
What you will do
Be part of a team responsible for enabling the technology solutions that meets our business strategy and drives business value.
Define and collaborate on the creation of roadmaps, architectures, standards, and best practice documents that will enable our IT teams to execute on the future direction of CVS Health.
Evaluate market trends, execute buy vs. build decisions and assess the impact on targeted business outcomes.
Produce and analyze the current state architecture for business capabilitiesand/or products.
Define future state architecture that enables and adopts the strategy for APIs, databases, cloud infrastructures, cloud services, and microservices.
Collaborate and consult with IT and business partners tooptimize business applications and systems that adopt modern architecture and technologies.
Develop and maintain a strategic vision to support capabilities aligned to the CVS Health platform based on key business drivers and technology trends.
Define and collaborate on the creation of frameworks for the enterprise that promote reuse, reduces cost, and increases speed to market.
Effectively build and maintain strong relationships with IT and business partners to establish trust and influence key business outcomes and decisions.
Explain highly complex technical architectures, designs and issues clearly and understandably to all constituents.
Required Qualifications
10+ year of relevant work experience (4+ years in architecture)
Flexible and creative with the ability to propose innovative ideas and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve positive outcomes.
Experience with defining architecture using the C4 model or equivalent with a focus on system context, container, and component diagrams.
Experience building large scale business applications using modern technologies and architecture.
Expert understanding of architectural methodologies andthe development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns and best practices.
Experience designing complex integrations with a focus on performance engineering and loose coupling using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Ability to work with persons in all job functions (i.e., Product, UX, Developers, QA, DevOps).
A diverse technical background with key areas of depth around AI/ML, cloud, data platforms, hybrid solutions and operating at scale.
Experience with requirements analysis, estimation, systems design, and application design.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence business strategiesand decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing architecture using agile methodology or SAFE practices.
A self-starter that is naturally inquisitive.
Experience related to security-oriented projects.
Education
Masters of Science in Computer Science or equivalent preferred. Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent minimum.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
