Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.
About the Manager, Technology Project Management and Agile Transformation Position
As the Manager of Technology Project Management and Agile Transformation, you will lead a team to execute high-impact technology projects by working closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success and align outcomes with strategic business objectives. This position is responsible for transforming our project management practices through agile ways of working, adoption of other best practices in project management, managing project risks and issues, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. This role is critical to building cross-functional alignment and is responsible for enhancing program/project management, business process management and technology capabilities. The Manager, Technology Project Management and Agile Transformation needs to be a strategic thinker with a history of driving significant improvements in project management practices, implementing agile, and delivering technology projects that align with our business objectives. Colonial is looking for someone with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of technology trends, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Identify and implement best practices for technology project management and agile practices to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.

Manage the portfolio of technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
Ensure adherence to project management standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

Lead and manage the implementation of agile methodologies across technology teams, including sAFE, Scrum, or other relevant frameworks.
Drive cultural change towards agile practices, facilitating workshops, training sessions, and coaching to enhance team agility and productivity.
Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
Ensure that all projects adhere to established risk management and compliance standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
Prepare and present project updates, status reports, and metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or other related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
Ability to regular interaction with leadership team, functional leaders, district operations, project managers, and subject matter experts.
Ideally, 7+ years of experience in project management, with leading complex technology projects including at least 3+ years of experience with agile methodologies.
Ideally, 5+ years of people leadership/management experience with experience developing internal talent and leadership and managing teams.
PMP, SCRUM, or SAFe Certified.
Consistent, successful performance managing large and complex projects / programs.
Strong customer service focus, driven to deliver timely solutions.
Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
