Job Description

Overview: Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (SA) assists company account managers through

formal technical presentations and technical design assistance of companys solution and

service offerings to existing and prospective customers. The SA owns all technical aspects of a

sales campaign and hands off to the consulting team, maintaining strong relationships with our

customers.

As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (SA) you are a thought leader within the Engineering organization, responsible for designing, architecting, and sometimes consulting for company's clients. The company is focused on core data center technologies including security, storage, networking, computing, virtualization, and data center management/automation. Your goal as an SA should be to build skills, relationships, and industry credibility across more than one of these segments to drive product and consulting sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Possess deep data center expertise (multiple layers of the stack).

Works with clients and company Sales team to obtain technical priorities, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into company Networking, Enterprise Cloud, and Cyber Security solutions.

Manages and achieves sales gross profit number.

Present at Technical Briefings and Lab Demonstrations with customers and partners to showcase

company value.

Considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or many technologies for the team to leverage.

Recognized by the partner community to own technical sales campaigns without their support.

Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key partners who are local to your region and/or territory.

Provide coaching and mentoring to team resources to enhance their solution knowledge, technical acumen, and pre-sales skill sets.

Qualify sales opportunities in the teams of customer technical requirements, decision- making process, and funding and decide if we should move forward with the campaign.

Prioritize opportunities and efforts based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit.

Drive engagement conversions to additional services/solutions.

Provide feedback to improve internal efficiencies.

Work with Solution Practice Managers to provide input and suggestions for new solutions and offerings.

Present regularly at company events, user groups, conferences, and forums.

Represent the company brand through thought leadership in the local market.

Lead Solution Verification/BOM Review process.

Responsible for the coordination, delivery, and quality of presales deliverables within the domain of the opportunity which may include items such as configurations, architectural diagrams, and proposals.

Qualify and position consulting engagements and services.

Assists in Statement of Work and Proof of Concept review and development.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.

8+ years of enterprise technology experience and 2+ years of Pre-Sales experience is required.

Professional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Experience working as a technical lead in a Pre-Sales sales campaign.

Extensive knowledge of one or more of the following data center solutions: storage, networking, computing, virtualization, data center management/automation, and

security null
