SENIOR MANAGER OF ACCOUNTS PAYABLE - Private Equity Backed Healthcare Company in Alpharetta
My client, a private equity backed healthcare company in Alpharetta, is on the lookout for a seasoned and proactive Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead and enhance their accounts payable operations. This role involves overseeing a multifaceted AP function within a complex organizational structure, including multiple legal entities and joint ventures. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounts payable management, financial reporting, and team leadership, coupled with experience in managing intricate business environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and streamline the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to boost efficiency and compliance across all AP activities.
Oversee check processing and verify check registers.
Manage AP processes for joint ventures, ensuring compliance with partnership agreements and financial reporting standards.
Work collaboratively with joint venture partners to resolve payment and invoicing issues.
Maintain and manage relationships with key vendor billing departments.
Coordinate with vendors and joint venture contacts to ensure billing alignment with partnership agreements.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts payable.
Perform detailed analyses to spot trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate the accounts payable team, offering guidance, training, and performance assessments.
Promote a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Identify and implement best practices and process enhancements to optimize accounts payable operations.
Utilize technology and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular reviews to uphold the integrity of the accounts payable function.
Partner with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth financial processes.
Serve as a key contact for resolving complex AP issues and inquiries.
Collaborate with the accounting department during month-end close to ensure accurate accruals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in accounts payable management, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing AP for complex organizations with multiple subsidiaries.
Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail for identifying and addressing financial discrepancies.
Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
