AWS Global Sales (AGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Would you like to help some of the world's best-known systems integrators (SIs) and technology partners utilize cloud computing technologies? Do you want to be part of the customer success team helping to establish Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the leading cloud computing platform?

You will have the chance to accelerate and deliver on the customer's technical strategy as a Partner Sales Solution Architect for SI and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) within AWS by utilizing solution design best practices, cloud native use cases, and the wide range of AWS solutions provided by the partner community.

In this role, you will own the technical engagement with strategic partners. You will have deep technical expertise in software architecture and cloud computing, as well as customer-facing skills at all levels of a partner and customer organization. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key job responsibilities

  • As a strategic member of the AWS Solutions Architect team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our managed systems integrator.

  • As a strategic technical leader in the field, provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote and accelerate partner engagements worldwide.

  • Ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.

  • Ensure successful cloud deployment by leading in-depth architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class AWS solutions.

  • Educate customers and partners of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.

  • Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers, blogs, and proof of concepts.

  • In collaboration with the sales and partner teams, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS and its partner solutions.

  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers and partners.

  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.

  • Open to travel within the city or State and up to 25% out of State as required for customer meetings.

  • You will have a strong understanding of large-scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems engineer or architect.

  • You will keep your existing technical skills honed and develop new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions.

  • You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

  • Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

  • Experience working with end user or developer communities

  • Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
