Senior Software Quality Engineer

What does a successful Senior Software Quality Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will ensure software quality through key responsibilities: identify and track defects, collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly and provide regular updates on testing progress. You will test standards, design and execute comprehensive test plans, and focus on high-quality web interfaces and cloud services. You will collaborate with product owners, UX designers, architects, and developers, participate in agile activities like story mapping and sprint reviews. You will review team members' work to maintain code quality.

What you will do:

  • Write readable, performant, bug-free automation code

  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects, work closely with development teams to prioritize and facilitate timely resolution

  • Provide regular status updates and metrics to project stakeholders, highlight testing progress, quality metrics, and any potential risks or issues

  • Establish and maintain testing standards, methodologies, and best practices, ensure consistency and adherence to quality guidelines throughout the development lifecycle

  • Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability

  • Review team’s work and hold team members accountable for high code quality standards

  • Be a leader: Engage your peers, mentor junior team members, build partnerships with key partners across the matrix to achieve shared objectives

  • Continually improve processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA team

What you will need to have:

  • 6-10+ years of experience of software development in a high-value test automation environment for complex enterprise software products

  • 7+ years of experience in writing code in Java, TestNG, Cucumber with reporting capabilities to automate tests for web application across UI & API

  • 5+ years of experience in testing cross-browser compatible front-end web experiences

  • 5+ years of experience in writing and executing automation for cross browser testing

  • 5+ years of experience in writing and executing automation for mobile devices for non-native applications

  • 5+ years of experience with high availability, disaster recovery, rogue testing, Happy Path, negative testing, performance testing, and functional testing

  • 5+ years of experience in working with version control and CI/CD tools like Gitlab, Git, Github, Jenkins

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience

Salary Range

$110,700.00 - $189,700.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
