What is it that we do at Colonial Pipeline Company?
Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. Colonial transports approximately 45 percent of all fuel consumed on the East Coast, providing refined products to more than 50 million Americans.
About the Senior Technology Project Manager Position
The Sr. Technology Project Manager is a certified professional responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of highly complex projects within the Technology Organization. The Sr. Technology Project Manager plans, executes and delivers all Technology projects in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the Sr. Technology Project Manager tracks project status and manages project teams to mitigate issues, risks and deliver the intended value of the project
What You Get to Do:
Support and coordinate with the various technical teams to better manage project defined schedule, scope, budget, and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Responsible for the success of all Technology projects assigned in the portfolio.
Identify opportunities to optimize project timelines and, resources and budgets to deliver.
Perform complex Project Management for strategic technology initiatives including developing and managing project schedules, tracking project risks and issues, reporting on project status, and managing escalations as they are needed.
Manage project financials for strategic technology initiatives.
Directs project resources including third party vendors/partners across multiple project teams to ensure delivery of key initiatives and ensures compliance with contract commitments, manages acceptance of vendor deliverables, and ensures payment of vendor fees.
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelors degree in Technology, Engineering, Business from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
Ideally, 15+ years of program and project management experience in Technology.
Deep expertise in project management within depth understanding of project management concepts.
Expert organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent project team leadership, facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
Strong knowledge of business objectives.
Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e., Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, Iterative).
Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
