Software Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain software, products and/or systems. Guide and mentor junior developers in developing code and workflow procedures. Conduct code reviews. Perform application development activities, including unit testing, code deployment to development environment and technical documentation preparation. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software. Manage individual project priorities and deadlines. Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design. Work independently to support software through the entire software development life cycle. Work on one or more projects, making contributions to unfamiliar code written by team members. Diagnose and resolve performance issues. Participate in estimation process, use case specifications, reviews of test plans and test cases, requirements, and project planning. Document code/processes so that any other developer is able to dive in with minimal effort. Introduce tools and automates repetitive processes. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems or applications infrastructure.
Requires: Masters degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation with experience in software development or, alternatively, a Bachelors degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation with experience in software development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Agile development and CI/CD using Maven or Jenkins; Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure; Java/J2EE programming and REST; UI frameworks including JavaScript, HTML, or CSS; SQL databases including Oracle or PostgreSQL; and NoSQL databases including MongoDB or DataStore.
