Philips Internship: Privacy Legal Team in Amsterdam, Netherlands
Location: Amsterdam - You will mainly work from home and be required to visit the office once or twice per week. supervised remotely.
Type: Internship - not suitable for thesis (can be discussed if you bring your own topic)
Length: 6 months
Time: 40 hours/week
Expected Start Date: August 2021
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Obtain work-experience in a professional and highly international environment, while becoming more familiar with the rules and regulations around Data Privacy, and the efforts Philips undertake to continue to remain compliant in its activities.
You are responsible for
Support the Privacy team on compliance matters related to Data Privacy;
Support Philips’ readiness efforts for the GDPR;
Support in running and maintaining the Philips Privacy Impact Assessment tool.
You are a part of
Philips Data Privacy team, within the Philips Group Legal department, a multi-disciplinary team supporting the execution of a project to help Philips meet its obligations under new EU data protection rules
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Currently studying towards a Bachelor or Master in Legal fields at a Dutch University with a high academic record
Interest in the data privacy landscape/technology;
Experience working in a team based project;
Fluent in English (oral and written);
Excellent knowledge of windows applications (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel);
Possesses strong communicative skills and a pro-active attitude

Please note that in order to be considered for an internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period . Formal documentation (proof of enrollment) will be requested. Students from outside the EU need to fill in an NUFFIC agreement, which needs to be signed by the student and the university. Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
