We are currently recruiting for an IT Application Administrator - Accounting for our Systems D epartment in Amsterdam or Duesseldorf .

The MBE subsidiary based in the Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG

The position is open in the MBE Data Store (MDS) team of the IT Department. MDS is a strategic asset of the MUFG Bank Europe being aimed to accumulate and process bank’s information for both reporting to regulators and supporting internal business processes.

In a complex and quickly changing IT environment there is a need of a technical expert / administrator. Someone who has a good knowledge of finance and financial processes like accounting and regulatory reporting. She/he will be part of a team of administrators to take on the daily tasks, like monitoring, picking up request, incidents, deploy changes, implement and develop improvement.

The role includes the following:

  • Act as first level contact for Accounting Hub application for business users.

  • Support businessin their day-to-day business and improve quality of service and process.

  • Apply cloud and ETL engineering skills to solve problems and design approaches to support end to end data environment.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and debug reporting and accounting processes.

  • Assess query performance and actively contribute to optimizing the code.

  • Write technical documentation, specifications and create confluence pages and keep these up to date.

  • Support internal audit by submitting required evidence.

  • Create reports and dashboards in the BI portal.

  • Work with Development Lead, DWH Architect and QA Engineers to plan, implement and deliver best ETL strategies for data warehouse, accounting hub and reporting engine OneSumX.

  • Work with business and analysts to understand requirements to create technical design specifications, gaining a sound understanding of business processes for related applications so that integration processes fulfill the end-user requirements

  • Assist the business with their regulatory reporting to the regulators and fix issues they find on their path or with newly released OneSumX reporting software.

  • Communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex and high performing team environment as per Agile principles

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • Administration and configuration experience with accounting applications

  • Familiarity with the role of a subledger in the finance architecture

  • Some awareness of accounting principles including IFRS

  • Familiarity with Oracle Databases

  • Ability to write basic PLSQL queries

  • Administration experience on accounting applications or ERP applications, like Oracle or SAP

  • Experience working with and supporting business users

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English

Experience / knowledge in the following are advantageous:

  • Experience with database administration, like Oracle and SQL Server

  • Experience with administration of analytic applications like SAS, Axiom, Moody’s

  • Experience with administration of regulatory reporting applications like OneSumX

  • Familiarity with AWS technologies, Aptitude Accounting Hub is hosted as a SaaS offering on AWS
