Job Title: Marketing Specialist Department: MarketingReports to: Director of Sales and MarketingFLSA Status: ExemptSalary Range: $60,000 - $80,000GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Marketing Specialist facilitates the timely execution of marketing plans and projects by assisting the sales department through planning, implementation, and analysis. This position coordinates advertising, composes and distributes press releases, updates internal and external marketing materials, executes email blasts, leverages our database to collect contact information, manages social media and the company website, orders promotional items, and performs other marketing related functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordinate magazine advertising (traditional and on-line) including promotional write-ups and insertion orders.- Compose and edit press releases to distribute to trade magazines.- Manage magazine and public relations contact lists.- Update product brochures, government mailers, business reply cards, and warranty cards.- Update company website and provide improvement ideas. This includes, but is not limited to, taking pictures and working with our website consultant.- Manage social media sites and post Mohawk content on a consistent and value-added basis.- Monitor and assist with implementation of Google Ad-word and Bing (digital marketing) strategies.- Responsible for developing and creating video content to support product sales and social media posts.- Manage lead generation and update list of contacts through ZoomInfo tool.- Execute email blasts to distribution channels as a product of lead generation lists.- Attend trade shows and marketing events as requested. - Order and maintain inventory levels for promotional items for tradeshows and distributors.- Compose and edit internal communications for distributors and post on Mohawk Extranet.- Assist distributors with navigation of Mohawk Extranet and maintain digital and print memos for distributor and sales team reference.- Create flyers and other marketing pieces to support off-site sales efforts.- Organize and maintain product picture library.- Track all marketing invoices and expenses against marketing budget.- Manage in-house inventory of marketing materials including getting quotes from printers.- Organize and execute mass mailers, including managing vendors. - Work with third party Extranet administrator to identify any necessary changes and/or updates. - Coordinate any distributor marketing requests through the organization.- Coordinate distributor training, managing logistics, and assisting with day of requests.- Pleasantly and professionally greet guests of Mohawk and help facilitate and support site visits of customers and VIPs.- Other duties as assigned, i.e. bid assistance, etc.QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS: - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.- Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with management, co-workers, vendors, and distributors, along with a readiness to learn Mohawk’s products and services.- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.- Analytical thinking, exemplary organizational and project management skills are required, alongside flexibility to adapt to changing needs.- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language in a manner that can be clearly understood.- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Competency in working with various technologies is necessary.- Professional appearance and the ability to interact professionally with people both in person and over the telephone are required.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) applications and social media sites is necessary.- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite: Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are highly beneficial for creating and refining marketing materials and visual content.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.
