Responsibilities

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is looking for a Gastroenterologist to join our elite team.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent Anderson to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

  • Our candidate will join an established and well respected practice alongside 3 experienced GI physicians with a tenured support staff

  • Our ideal candidate will be BC/BE, preferably with advanced endoscopic skills such as ERCP

  • Additional opportunities include treating patients with IBD, obesity and hepatitis management

  • 1:5 call

  • Highly-skilled and engaged 24/7 hospitalists

  • Strong collaboration with Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine

  • Large medical and surgical residency programs with Ascension St. Vincent

  • Opportunity to shadow/work at flagship quaternary referral campus

  • We have an extremely strong St. Vincent referral base which will allow our candidate to develop a busy practice quickly

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.

  • Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson is a 240-bed acute care hospital in Anderson, Indiana, serving patients of all ages in Madison county and surrounding areas.

Services include a Level III Trauma Center, mental health and addictions unit, state-of-the-art cancer center, women’s center, outpatient surgery center, ambulatory care, and outpatient rehabilitation center.

Ascension St. Vincent Anderson has 150 physicians on the medical staff and more than 1,500 associates. Anderson is located 30 minutes northeast of Indianapolis.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
