Responsibilities

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires. Per policy, current employees are not eligible.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of Physician, prepares patients for examination and assists with examinations and minor office surgeries. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of medical assisting program

  • California State Phlebotomy Certification (required within 12 months of hire).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

  • Demonstrates skills in taking vital signs, and height and weight measurements Knowledge of sterile technique and handling of infectious waste Ability to work as a team and communicate well, and interact appropriately with others Able to work in spite of frequent interruptions High level of concentration and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • One-year experience in physician/clinic setting preferred

  • High School diploma or GED Additional EMT or equivalent experience

Pay Range

$23.11 - $25.88 /hour
