Arbor Research Collaborative For Health Editor II (Graphics/Social Media) in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative ideas and concepts for page layouts, web pages, technical proposal images and promotional material in collaboration with technical and business development staff.
  • Make revisions, updates, and changes to design, copy, and layout.
  • Work collaboratively with business development staff and researchers to produce the best images for the document.
  • Proof all pages for accuracy and make last-minute design and copy changes to complete the catalog pre-press production process before going to the printer.
  • Contribute to and implement social media strategies aligned with overall marketing and business goals.
  • Create engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, including text, image, and video content.
  • Monitor and manage content, including blogs, discussion groups, live chats, and status updates.
  • Utilize various programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects) to create deliverables.
  • Assure brand consistency across all channels and forms.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, industry news, and algorithm changes, and identify opportunities to capitalize on emerging trends and technologies. 
  • Monitor social media for feedback and sentiments and report customer insights to relevant teams for product/service improvement. 
  • Stay informed about legal and ethical considerations in social media marketing and ensure compliance with social media policies and guidelines

     

Document Specialist
  • Prepare graphics and design Word templates, as necessary for (proposals, reports, manuscripts, social media, websites, press releases, printed marketing, etc.
  • Make and edit templates and styles for Microsoft Office Suite; formatting documents, ensuring appropriate styles, headers, footers, spacing, margins etc. throughout.

General administrative supervision is received from the Vice President of Strategic Growth.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience, especially in a business development or market communications context
  • Expertise in Microsoft O?ce and related programs (e.g., Microsoft O?ce Suite, EndNote, InDesign, and Photoshop)
  • Proven familiarity with social media best practices
  • Pro?ciency in graphic design tools and ability to determine the best tool for the use case
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with an international team of physicians, principal investigators, analysts, and study coordinator

     

Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in proposal writing
  • Familiarity with plain language principles
  • Background in communications or marketing
  • Experience in federal contracting pursuit and/or marketing
