Senior Radar Processing Engineer
KBR is seeking a curious, motivated Senior Radar Processing Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance for its Intelligence and Cyber Analytics Special Programs team, based in Ann Arbor, MI. Our Special Programs team conducts sponsored Research and Development to advance our nation’s capabilities in support of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The selected candidate will support funded projects involving radar processing and the application of estimation and detection theory to novel problems. Responsibilities:
Apply estimation, detection, tracking, and classification expertise to develop solutions to urgent and important problems in the radar systems domain
Develop new estimation-theoretic algorithms and implement them in software (MATLAB®, Python)
Enhance and extend existing code bases to process data from new sensor systems
Prepare and present briefings to current and prospective customers
Work with a flexible schedule and be willing to travel to accommodate customer priorities
Required Qualifications:
Active TOP SECRET Security Clearance
Master’s degree and at least five years’ experience, or PhD degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, or physics
Programming experience in MATLAB® & Python
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of and experience with radar systems and processing
Ability to effectively interact with customers to convey results of work and develop new projects
