DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Our Labor and Delivery department is a 24-hour inpatient unit consisting of 12 Labor-Delivery-Recovery suites, 4 Perinatal suites, 6 Antepartum suites, 3 Operating suites, a 4 bed recovery room and a 7 station triage area. Labor and Delivery provides Inpatient and outpatient low and high-risk perinatal care, prenatal testing and treatment, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, transitional and normal newborn care and pregnancy loss services.
SUMMARY:
*Full-Time Nights
Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Three to six months previous related experience
Preferred customer service, retail, clerical experience
