We are seeking a Full-Stack Applications Architect to work in a remote position to support the development, operation, and maintenance of a variety of product lines and initiatives focused on providing Electronic Warfare Applications. The communication and collaboration with the customer as well as with other engineering disciplines is required to ensure the application architectures support the client program's needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop software applications as web services that are written in Java unless otherwise directed. Examples include Node JS and Angular with Typescript, and Springboot with Hibernate and messaging; Scripting languages – perl, ant, python, maven.

  • Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in Postgres, MySQL, and other relational databases.

  • Develop, upgrade, and maintain APIs and search with REST-like APIs to communicate with other software applications and databases.

  • Utilize XML, JSON, or other standards for data transfer and metadata management.

  • Has experience writing SQL queries.

  • Has Experience with repositories like Artifactory, Nexus, & Verdaccio.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Extensive experience developing in Java.

  • Experience with JavaScript / Typescript.

  • Experience with application frameworks (Spring Boot, NodeJS-NestJS).

  • Experience developing applications with the Node.js framework.

  • Must know to use an IDE to code (ex - IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans.)

  • Experience with web services (REST) and service-oriented architecture (SOA) - Spring Boot, Tomcat.

  • Experience with relational databases (ex - MySQL / Postgres).

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab.

  • Ability to present and talk to technical infrastructure (Code Reviews; PDR; etc.).

  • Ability to work on shift between projects based on priorities.

  • Ability to work well with others as well as independently.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidate will learn how to visualize queried data into reports and dashboards.

  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels to present, discuss, influence technical solutions.

  • Experience with Microservices (ex - Docker).

  • Experience with OSGI plugin development & deployment.

  • Experience with front end development using Angular.

  • Familiarity with Source code management and integration (ex – RTC/ELM, Jenkins).

  • Experience in an Agile environment.

  • Experience with WSL.

  • Experience training/supporting SDKs would be nice.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
