Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to support HP's high-performance Z workstations, software, graphics, and associated technical solutions. This role is responsible for understanding the organization's products and industry, engaging with key clients, crafting tailored solutions, and supporting the sales team. This role will be key in customer retention, ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing the value of long-term engagements, while gathering client feedback, and resolving client issues to drive sales and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the organization's products or services, as well as the industry to effectively position the offerings and articulate their value to potential clients.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including product setup and demonstration.
Engages with key stakeholders within client organizations, including technical executives and decision-makers, to build relationships and ensure satisfaction with the client's technical expectations.
Engages with clients to design customized solutions for their unique business needs. Can develop and articulate ROI for HP's solutions, differentiated from the competition.
Conducts in-depth market research to identify trends and emerging opportunities and provides insights to the internal teams contributing to the development of sales strategies. Deep understanding of competitive offerings to best compare and contrast HP's workstation value.
Concentrates on growing contract renewals for mid-to-large accounts, emphasizing higher total contract value.
Gathers and relays feedback from clients to the internal teams to help refine existing offerings and guide the development of new products or features.
Acts as a point of contact for resolving client issues and concerns, working closely with customer support or service teams to ensure prompt and effective resolution.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in engineering or a related field, such as: Computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, AI Development, Graphic Design, Software Development, or other related disciplines or commensurate work experience.
Typically has 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in technical selling, consultative selling, or a related field.
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $177,000 to $265,000 annually, with a 60/40 (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
