Anoka County Lead Business Systems Analyst in Anoka, Minnesota

Position Description The Anoka County Human Resources Department has an immediate opening for a Lead Business Systems Analyst who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include leading the daily activities of a team responsible for the review, analysis, and evaluation of county and user needs to create sustainable county and systems solutions that support overall county strategies. This is a full-time, exempt, hybridposition. Interviews will start taking place the week of September 30th, 2024, for those selected to move forward in the hiring process. Pay & Benefits Salary: $80,516 to $96,616 ($38.71 to $46.45 per hour). 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 36. $80,516 to $112,715 ($38.71 to $54.19 per hour). 24 days of paid flexible time off and up to 12.5 paid holidays. Work Location This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303. This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work, with some days working remotely and some days working in the office. Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Job Duties and Responsibilities These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Lead Business Systems Analyst. Lead the daily activities of a team responsible for the review, analyzation, and evaluation of county and user needs to create sustainable county and systems solutions that support overall county strategies. Provide expert level technical guidance, research and teach new processes, and determine user needs to create and propose systems solutions that support department and county objectives. Determine methods for implementing long-term strategies or infrastructure level recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency, and practices of the county's business systems. Coordinate and train staff on workflow processes and updated systems and serve as a resource for questions and technological issues. Review and approve detailed documentation on system requirements and business needs. Lead county-wide projects and partner with county Project Manager(s) by defining project plans including scope and objectives. Serve as a resource for the team as they define system specifications to drive system development and guide the implementation. Provide an elevated level of support to Business Systems Analysts to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group, and may act as a lead providing daily work direction and managing timeline of weekly activities depending on assignment. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of job-related experience In lieu of the require education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis Successfully pass driver's license background check Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, Human Resources, or related field Computer systems and application software experience including using database tools, word processing and spreadsheets Experience with Workday Administration Experience with HRIS systems including analysis procedures, design, and implementation Experience with process mapping and technology projects Analytical and problem-solving skills Physical Demands and Work Conditions Standard office environment Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed.
