Anoka-Hennepin Schools Summer Teachers - BUILDING LEADER for ESY - Secondary in Anoka, Minnesota

SECONDARY BUILDING LEADER for ESY Summer Coordinated Programs - Several positions available based on enrollment DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 17 - June 21, Monday thru Friday, 4.5 hours per day; NO SCHOOL on June 19th June 24-28, Monday through Friday, 4.5 hours per day Additional hours during the week of June 10th for set-up and required training. Up to 60 additional hours upon approval for planning and/or coordinating the program with the majority of hours completed during months leading up to ESY session. SITES: Secondary Sites: Anoka High, Jackson Middle School, Transition Program(s) Setting IV Sites for K-12: River Trail Learning Center PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and coordinate set-up of ESY specific site/program, including hiring of staff for ESY site/program during the months leading up to ESY session. Attend ESY Building Leader planning and coordination meetings before session in late Spring and over the session. Provide direction, coordination, and supervision of staff during ESY session. Oversee implementation of ESY services provided by ESY licensed and classified staff. Manage day-to-day functions of ESY program. Facilitate good student behavior in the building by working with students, staff, and families. Complete and submit required district paperwork, including end of ESY session procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current MN Teaching License for one or more of the following is required: Special Ed Teacher License (any field), Speech Clinician/Pathologist, School Psychologist, Developmental/Adapted Phy Ed, Visually Impaired, Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy. Must be physically working in the building. This position may be filled immediately after 7 posting days (after: 1/24/24) by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license). (Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.) Preferred Qualification: Current MN Administrative License and/or staff coordination experience. RATE OF PAY: All Summer School Teachers will receive the hourly rate of $36.80 in accordance with the working agreement as stated in Article X, Section 6. Teachers will be paid for teaching time plus prep time.
