About you:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Architect to join our newly established Strategic Alignment function. The ideal candidate will be proficient in comprehending and shaping business processes and capabilities and should be confident working across all areas of the Cigna International Health Business.This role will be working with internal and external stakeholders to create strategically aligned solutions that maximize value and ensure key business outcomes are achieved.

Specifically, you will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise business analysis, or enterprise architecture.

  • A good understanding of system design, data & analytics, software architecture and software engineering practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of business architecture methodologies and frameworks.

  • Proficiency in business process and capability modelling.

  • Experience working in a scaled Agile environment, with an understanding of a variety of methodologies including Kanban and Scrum.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

  • Motivation and a professional drive and can manage multiple high priority assignments simultaneously.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferable as well as familiarity with regulatory compliance and data privacy standards across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Business Architect in the Strategic Alignment function, one of your key responsibilities is to support the definition and planning of our strategic roadmap. You will also play a key role in discovery activities, gaining insights and gathering information that will inform the development of strategic solutions, including, understanding the current state of the organization, identifying challenges and opportunities, and recommending effective solutions to achieve the desired business objectives. Specifically, you will:

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the organization's business processes, objectives, and strategy to ensure strategic alignment across all functions.

  • Identify gaps in current business architecture and propose sustainable and efficient solutions to improve business processes and systems.

  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to define business requirements, develop functional designs, and facilitate the implementation of strategic solutions.

  • Support discovery work by understanding and documenting business needs and translating them into solution requirements.

  • Participate in planning and strategy sessions, offering insights based on business architecture principles to support the development of the company's strategic roadmap.

  • Ensure all proposed solutions and strategies are aligned with the organization's goals, values, and overall strategic direction.

  • Establish a robust business capability model use this to monitor performance of implemented solutions and continuously strive to enhance their effectiveness.

  • Support the cultural, technological, and methodology transformation in line with the broader IHDS organization, and business strategy/transformation.

  • Help design business systems and procedures.

  • Collaborate with architecture, product owners, delivery teams and other key stakeholders to help define product strategy, the technical vision and high-level strategic roadmaps.

  • Support organizational studies and evaluations.

  • Stay current with digital technologies and trends to ensure the organization stays competitive.

  • Use data to drive any decision-making and in general promote a data driven culture.

  • Ensure that solutions are designed in such a way that they deliver maximum value to the customer and demonstrate this empirically.

  • Develop a range of strategic options and scenarios based on the identified issues and opportunities. These options should consider the organization's strengths, weaknesses, and external factors. Brainstorm creative and innovative ideas that have the potential to drive the organization's growth and success.
