The Construction Services Sr. Supply Chain Program Manager will oversee the procurement and program management of construction services for our data center projects. This position will have a strong background in construction services procurement, with a focus on data center infrastructure projects or similar. The Construction Services Sr. Supply Chain Program Manager will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies, establishing, and maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of construction services. Construction services suppliers are inclusive of General Contractors, Architects, Commissioning Agents, and specialty consultants and contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies for data center construction projects, including supplier sourcing and selection, contract negotiation, and performance management (inclusive of key performance indicators).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, safety, commissioning, and quality, to define scope of services requirements and specifications.

  • Identify and qualify suppliers for construction services, conducting due diligence (prequalification), evaluating capabilities, and negotiating contracts.

  • Lead the bid process for construction services, including issuing requests for proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids (analysis), and selecting suppliers based on pre-established cost, quality, and performance criteria.

  • Ensure construction services supplier cost data captured in benchmark database is complete, accurate, and valid so it may be used to drive key business decisions.

  • Manage supplier relationships throughout the project lifecycle, including performance monitoring to contractual obligations, supplier business reviews, and issue resolution.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.

  • Develop and execute procurement plans, tracking key milestones and deliverables to ensure on-time contract awards and within-budget to enable project construction.

  • Implement best practices and process improvements to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.

  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to supply chain team members and the greater construction organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Seek cross-functional procurement training and provide supplemental support for Owner Furnished Contractor Installed electrical and mechanical equipment categories, as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, contracting strategies, and their interrelationship.

  • Familiarity with various industry-based construction contract templates (AIA, Consensus Docs, etc.) and the negotiation of those contracts.

  • Contract negotiation skills and experience negotiating Construction Master Service Agreements.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive data driven results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Organized, analytical, and structured with excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated strong capability and expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint. Bluebeam and Visio skills desired.

  • Knowledge of construction services procurement best practices.

  • Works well in a team environment and independently, gives and receives clear expectations well.

  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management of construction service categories (General Contractor, Architect, Commissioning Agent, Specialty Contractor (Building Monitoring Systems) and Consultant, etc.) and performance monitoring.

  • Understanding of basic finance and accounting business structure.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and lead high-performing teams.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on construction services procurement for mission critical, data center, or related industry projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.

  • Close visual work on a computer monitor.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.

  • Familiarity with construction sites and factory hazards and ability to navigate project sites safely.

  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional travel to other company locations and supplier offices.

  • Must wear leather or steel toed boots, high visibility vest, safety glasses, and hard hat when walking construction sites.

  • Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $135,500 - $193,500 .

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
