Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Appleton, WI (onsite)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 1st shift hours
TEKsystems is partnering with a local client in the search for a Data Center Technician to join their team. This person will help to execute on day to day functions within the data center as well as assist with project work.
Responsibilities:
Racking, stacking, and cable management (including CAT-6a, CAT-6, and fiber optics).
Collaborating with external vendors to manage equipment intake and documenting processes using tools like Excel and DataCenter Management (DCM) Software.
Engaging with carriers for installation and troubleshooting.
Project based work as assigned
Skills Needed:
Low voltage cabling experience
Racking, stacking, and cable management experience (CAT-6a, CAT-6, and fiber optics)
Experience working with external vendors and carriers a plus
