WI. In addition, this position will be the primary resource for customer inquiries and supplier contact. Responsibilities: Provide daily quality and technical assistance, investigation and decision making to the manufacturing operation. Primary contact for communicating with customers and handling customer inquiries. This includes: Investigating and documenting customer complaints. Investigating and documenting customer claims. Providing summary information on complaints / claims to the manufacturing operation. Driving corrective action assignments/teams for systemic complaints / claims. Works closely with Design & Applications team on customer complaints / claims and scrap. Manage supplier certificate of analysis and performance communication, documentation, and corrective action (SCAR log). Lead operational excellence (OPEX) projects on process optimization, cost reduction and material changes. Support the implementation and consolidation of packaging specifications required by customers. Actively participate in behavioral based safety programs and employee engagement. Support the archiving and evaluation of manufacturing data systems. Member of the Integrated Management System (IMS) audit team. Manage scrap non-conformance investigation forms (SNIF\'s) log. This position is part of a 24 hour quality hot line to provide infrequent, but necessary, guidance to the press fabric operation supervisors after hours. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles to resolve problems and make improvements. Capable of working in a flexible, often shifting manufacturing environment.
