JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Service Department while ensuring employee engagement through effective leadership and training. The successful Service Manager collaborates with departments, develops improvement plans, monitors progress and delegates employee assignments. The Service Manager is responsible for obtaining new automatic entrance business including maintenance and preventive maintenance contracts. Responsibilities include: Oversee service coordinators at both locations. Develop key performance goals and managing the performance of the team, giving continual feedback and coaching. Research and provide training for continued personal and team skills improvement. Document operational tasks and report to Director of Operations Ensure adherence to company and industry regulations. Set strategic long- and short-term departmental goals and evaluate outcomes. Develop strategies to increase productivity and improve operations. Manage departmental budget and department forecasting. Assist in recruitment and engagement of employees. Coordinate with the sales department new strategies for automatic entrances and PM programs as well as making initial sales calls to potential new automatic customers. Work closely with the Service Coordinators and Estimators to provide timely and accurate quotes on automatic projects. Maintain and build customer relationships, providing above average customer service. Obtain new maintenance contracts for automatic entrances. Daily updates to the weekly work schedule. Ensure department is profitable. Ordering and allocating parts that are non-stock for service work. Occasional travel to jobsites to assist in measuring or work verifications. Daily verification of timecards. Communicate daily end of day work orders to direct reports Mandatory attendance to quarterly safety meetings. Required to wear and use personal protective equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies. All other duties as assigned. Work Environment The work environment will be in an office/shop/warehouse environment. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: Basic knowledge of commercial aluminum and hollow metal service and products as well as automatic entrances and handicap operators. Previous experience with Microsoft Office Products. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Valid Wisconsin Driver\'s License.
