ManpowerGroup Mechanical Engineer/ CAD Designer in Arcade, New York

CAD Designer ($60,000 - $80,000)

Onsite M-F (1st 6 Months); Potential for WFH

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in product development and manufacturability by utilizing your expertise in 3D modeling software to create accurate product drawings and provide comprehensive engineering support to internal customers across Sales and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage 3D modeling software (preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD) to design manufacturing drawings based on customer specifications.

  • Develop detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Machine Routers for efficient fabrication and assembly processes.

  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, sales, production planning, and manufacturing teams to ensure product quality and timely project completion.

  • Utilize a help ticket system to provide exceptional technical support and problem-solving assistance to internal customers.

  • Identify opportunities for product design optimization and contribute to new product development efforts.

  • Apply engineering expertise to support company goals and project initiatives.

  • Oversee or participate in product qualification and performance testing procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role.

  • Proficiency in leading 3D modeling software and strict adherence to industry drawing conventions. (Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD preferred)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, video conferencing platforms, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and a mechanical aptitude.

  • Proactive and critical thinker with a knack for problem-solving and research.

Education

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Three or more years of experience working within a manufacturing environment. (Experience with 3-A sanitary fluid handling products a plus)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk while working on a computer.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., twist, bend, stoop, and kneel.

  • Ability to navigate a manufacturing environment safely.
