Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Sr. Staff / Archbald, PA in Archbald, Pennsylvania

Description: Please note - This is a casual part-time position and hours worked cannot exceed 999 hours in year.

The selected candidate will cultivate technical excellence, affordability, program implementation, support program development, implementation of program requirements, and adherence to engineering development processes

The selected candidate will define requirements, architecture, system layout for Nuclear Instrumentation and Control (I&C) equipment

The selected candidate will provide input and guide team members in selection overall plant architecture and system components

The selected candidate shall work closely with the LOB Lead Engineer, LM-Space (LMS) Chief Engineer, LMS Engineering Program Team

The selected candidate will have experience interfacing with regulating bodies (NRC, DOE, DOD, IEC, IAEA) for nuclear safety.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 20 years of related professional experience.

-Cross-program and cross discipline knowledge

-Experience in Nuclear Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for terrestrial and other-than-terrestrial applications

-Familiarity with plant, engine, and flow architectures that interface I&C systems

-Experience with NTP system and NTP-I&C system architecture

-Experience with system requirements, architecture, and design of Civilian I&C systems, Small Modular Reactors, Advanced Reactors

-Experience with system requirements, architecture, and design of Naval I&C system

-Experience with system requirements, architecture, and design of Neutron Detector Instrumentation and similar nuclear specific detectors.

- Ability to obtain a secret security clearance so must be a US Citizen.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
