Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic specializing in Heavy Industrial Assembly for the railroad industry. This role involves custom work on large equipment used to pull and replace tracks. Key responsibilities include stripping paint, cutting steel parts to fit equipment through tunnels, and welding parts back on. You will also work with hydraulics and pneumatics, repairing and replacing hydraulic hoses, and performing tear downs, repairs, and full builds of railroad machines and equipment. Daily tasks will include utilizing blueprints and piping schematics.

Work Environment

You will be working in a team environment that is very friendly. This is a 1st shift position from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime is usually an option and occasionally required, with advance notice and schedule accommodations. Compensation ranges from $18-23/hr depending on experience. This is a 140-day contract-to-hire position.
