Prepares invoices and enters accounts receivable. Pays invoices and employee reimbursements, assuring accuracy and budget allowability and enters obligations into the accounts payable module Research general ledger and billing inquiries Enters and tracks contract obligations into encumbrance journals. Collaborates with accounting and program teams on billing and account statuses. Introduces new hires to payroll time tracking system. Enters bi-weekly payroll and prepares and enters payroll journal entries Reconciles payroll deductions, credit card activity and research discrepancies. Prepares and enters monthly cost allocation charges and approved budget entries Prepares and enters general ledger entries for organizations contracted for fiscal services Assists the finance department in daily, monthly, and annual tracking or other activities, including generating financial reports, KPIs and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies Maintains fixed asset schedule and finance department electronic files. Ensures compliance with financial policies QUALIFICATIONS Two-year degree or certificate in accounting or business. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Will consider work experience in lieu of degree. Minimum two years of related experience in accounting and accounting systems Grant administration, fund accounting and budgeting experience preferred WORK SCHEDULE This position is a hybrid role working two to three days in the office and remainder of the week remote, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM ABOUT TRELLIS Trellis a nonprofit organization, advocates for older adults.
