Brand Marketing Specialist - LifestyleThe target location for this role is Land O'Lakes Corporate Headquarters in Arden Hills, MN, however this position can be remote (virtual) and located anywhere in the USABrand MarketingThe Brand Marketing role at Land O'Lakes is responsible for driving magnetic connections between our consumers, customers, and our brands. Brand Marketing is part of the Enterprise Marketing and Communications team and supports the business teams by acting as a true business partner providing marketing communications expertise and driving collaboration across multiple teams using creativity to solve business challenges.Role DescriptionThis Lifestyle Brand Marketing Specialist will partner primarily with the marketers within our Equine Business Unit, delivering engagement planning support and leading the execution of advertising and other integrated communication programs to achieve performance and sales objectives, and helping meet compliance of communication objectives, timelines, and adherence to brand standards. They will support the Brand Marketing Manager in providing input for strategic decisions and lead project execution of key initiatives.Additionally, this position provides key inputs towards managing the communications budget and using the appropriate Land O'Lakes systems and processes for efficient project management.The ideal candidate has a passion for building brands, collaborates across teams and has a strong ability to adapt and remain detail orientated in an ever-changing business environment.Role AccountabilitiesIn partnership with the Business, Broader Enterprise Marketing Disciplines and Brand Marketing peers, this person plays a critical role in the execution of the following activities:Partner with Brand Marketing Managers to build channel-specific engagement plans that will maximize investment and drive business growth. Continually look for ideas to enhance our support as new learnings or programs present themselves.Execute marketing programs with appropriate internal and external partners, to deliver against brand and communication plan & strategy.Proactively work with our cross-functional teams to understand the return on our marketing communications investments and revise plans as needed. Communication campaigns include but are not limited to the following: advertising (digital, TV, print, social, point-of-sale, etc.), promotions, influencer management, PR, events, website, 1-1 programs, sales/channel collateral, etc.Assist in maintaining communication budgets, and the review/approval of financial commitments, using Land O'Lakes systems as appropriate. (i.e. Ariba, Allocadia, others).Lifestyle Brand Marketing Specialist:Support annual planning activities, primarily focusing on our Purina Horse business, including our engagement planProvide key inputs and updates to the Brand Marketing Manager for regular performance reportingOngoing engagement with the owners of our Animal Nutrition/Horse digital properties to ensure the content is relevant and performance is sound, with an eye toward growth opportunitiesActive participation in pertinent re-occurring meetings (status', financial reviews, planning, etc.)Direct management of select communication programs (i.e. industry-leading Purina trial program)Required Experience & Education:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or ag. communications related field5 years marketing campaign management experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applicationsPreferred Experience & Education:Experience working in the Animal Agriculture and/or Equine industries is a plus.Experience in translating marketing objectives and strategies into engaging creative ideasRequired Competencies & Other Skills:Excellent analytical and proactive problem-solving skillsStrong initiative and accountable to actions-proven ability to work independently and is a self-starterStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with an ability to engage wi h members of varying communication and work stylesExcellent oral, written, and presentation skills; including proven influencing capabilities across functionsDemonstrated ability to excel, adapt and be highly productive in a fast-paced environmentA desire to be part of a team effort to drive team and organizational successFlexible, enthusiastic, eager to learn, and results-drivenPreferred Competencies & Other Skills:Experience using a marketing budget tracking system and return on marketing investment tools.Experience in consumer-first marketing with a working knowledge of all engagement channels (SEM, Email, and Social utilities, in-store, etc.).Percentage of Travel:10-20%The salary range for this role is projected to be $67,360 - 101,040As a full time employee, you will receive a wide range of benefits for you and your dependents:3 medical plan choices including HSA plan optionsVision & dental planCompany paid Life, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability, parental leave, caregiver leave and emergency leave401(k) plan with company match and additional automatic contribution regardless of participationPaid Time Off, Paid Holidays and Employee Assistance ProgramWellness program focused on Physical, Financial and Emotional Health with opportunity for cash incentivesAbout Land O'Lakes, Inc.Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
