Job Description

A Client/Employer in Memphis, TN is looking for a Direct Purchasing Agent. The primary responsibilities for this individual joining the purchasing team will include sourcing required materials based on Bill of Matter (BOM) for battery cell and modules from the designated suppliers for both the US and globally. This direct purchasing agent will develop annual and mid-long term demand plans, while aligning procurement volume with marketing plans. This individual will manage global supply chain management and conduct sourcing plan including materials' inventory, quantities and delivery dates in conjunction with factory plan. Monitoring suppliers to ensure on time deliveries to support manufacturing, materials within quality standard specifications, costs, and discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled. Manage supplier risk by ensuring continuous business plans are set in place in case of potential unpreventable interruption to the supply chain. This individual will manage the development schedule and oversee procurement as well as define and monito 4M changes.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage and report procurement performance, objective plan vs. performance monitoring, status of savings, implementation plan

• Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

• Mange and report procurement risk related costs, deliveries and inventory issue

• Prepare & distribute & review & assess RFQ/RFP to and from the qualified suppliers

• Finalize contracts, terms and conditions, register supplier on purchasing system

• Issue POs, verify invoices and perform Monthly closing Management

• Support the optimization of core Purchasing processes and systems

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• 2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (experienced applicants)

• Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

• Strong responsibility, communications, interpersonal, organization skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) * Background in automotive or chemical production equipment industry

• Experience in data/market/indicator analysis and demand forecasting

• Background in developing automotive parts and managing procurement as a buyer or SQE null
