This is a 1st shift position: 7:00am-3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
Overall Summary
As Sr. Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will have the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. This position is responsible for executing general maintenance and repairs throughout the facilities. This position will also be asked to help maintain manufacturing equipment, and machinery. This includes inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing malfunctions, adjusting parts and components, doing preventative maintenance, and performing tests on systems and components.
Your duties will include:
Maintain clean rooms to established environmental specifications.
Ensure heating, cooling, and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality.
Make changes/modifications to existing systems to meet operational needs.
Perform routine checks of equipment, noting improper operation and making necessary repairs.
Remove, repair, or replace defective unit controls and components.
Install and maintain all HVAC and all HVAC related equipment.
Assist Facilities leadership in identifying areas for improvement in processes and systems for energy savings and maintenance cost reduction.
Ensure all projects and changes meet code requirements (IBC) and are familiar with existing code requirements.
Support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems; conduct repairs as necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
May be called upon to direct other facilities employees while making repairs and overhauls of equipment.
Assist the Facilities Engineer in recognizing areas of improvement in processes and systems for the purpose of energy savings and reduction in maintenance costs. Be capable of providing a basic plan of action on all aspects of facilities maintenance.
Ensure all projects and changes meet the code requirements as related to IBC and are familiar with the existing code requirements.
Carries out the necessary service and repairs to keep various mechanical, electrical, and hydronic systems in running order.
They inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment, check and replace defective components, perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of machinery and tools, and repair faulty wiring and plumbing.
Help diagnose any issues with operating systems, create and document maintenance and repair plans, and follow safety protocols while working.

About You

Blueprint analysis
Clean room and pressure differential analysis
Knowledge of split systems & roof top units – both DX & combination chill water/hot water, humidity control, comfort control and use of a central BAS to trouble shoot problems on systems that are part of the BAS.
Basic hand tool knowledge and safe use of power tools
Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to perform a variety of tasks as directed
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
First class steam and refrigerant license & continuing education to receive and maintain certifications required.
Universal Refrigerant Recovery License.
Current Valid driver’s license
YOUR EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or related degree
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years related experience required
Visual acuity requirements apply to the role, including peripheral, color, and depth perception.
For internal reference, this position is a level H8.
