Seasonal RAD CT Technologist PRN - Central Staffing Office

We are looking for Seasonal RNs to join Texas Health. Is that you?

Main Office: Texas Health Central Staffing Office - 612 E Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011

Work Locations: The main office for the Central Staffing Office is in Arlington, TX but you will primarily be working in Region A.

Work hours: PRN, must be available to work 36 hours/week.

Shift: variable Night shifts (no self-scheduling).

Regions are as follows:

Region A: Allen, Frisco, Plano, Dallas, Prosper, Rockwall, Kaufman and Center for Diagnostics & Surgery Plano

Region B: Denton, Flower Mound, Southlake, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Heart & Vascular, Alliance, and Azle

Region C: Fort Worth, Southwest, Cleburne, Clearfork, Burleson, Willow Park and the Specialty Hospital.

Position Highlights:

Texas Health Central Staffing Office – internal staffing department that provides clinical staffing resources for all THR hospitals. Must have flexibility to float throughout the Metroplex based on the needs of the business. The Central Staffing Office is broken into particular zones, but in the event that your primary zone does not have any needs, you must be open to being floated to outside, neighboring zones.

Here’s What You Need:

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required or

Associates degree preferred

Experience

2 years of experience in the last three years (excluding residency/orientation) if radiologic technician experience w/out ARRT-CT required or

1 year of experience in the last three years (excluding residency/orientation) w/ARRT-CT required

Licenses and Certification

ARRT (R) upon hire required and

ARRT (CT) upon hire required or

ARRT (CT) within 12 months of hire required and

CMRT upon hire required

BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually required within 90 days of hire

Communication, computer, venipuncture

What You Will Do:

Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing

  • Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam

  • Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors

  • Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS

Patient Care

  • Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions

  • Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures

  • Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging

Equipment Operation and Maintenance

  • Adjusts technical factors

  • Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards between patients (injectors, table tops, floors)

  • Exchanges and maintenance of film badges within designated time frames

Professional Accountability and Partnership

  • Maintains and enhances technical skills and technology advancement

  • Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email in a timely manner
